Stop and visit the famous bathing boxes at Brighton beach (www.brightonbathingbox.org.au)
Beautiful scenic views of the famous red bluff cliffs with it's own slice of Australian history in the form of the HMVS Cerberus - sitting in the bay as a breakwater since 1926.
Pop out and have a look at one of Melbourne's most popular beaches but if you want to see a better one, keep driving......
Melbourne's best kept secret - great swimming, soft white sand & pretty views. Grab a coffee from the surf life saving club and enjoy with your toes in the sand!
Despite it's questionable reputation, it's actually a pretty place. Definitely worth stopping and having a look along the foreshore.
One of the best views back to Melbourne - bring your camera!
Take a slight detour from here and spend a couple of hours browsing through the shops on Main Street.
Stop off for some authentic italian food at DOC (Corner of Main & Ross Street) - sister restaurant of the restaurant of the same name in Carlton.
You made it! Watch the sun go down over the boats docked at Mornington Pier before heading back home (PS go home via the new Peninsula Link - heaps quicker!)
