This thriving country town has a real old-fashioned pub for a tasty counter lunch or nice clean toilets at the showgrounds on the right of the highway if you just need a comfort stop
Stop at the famous Goomeri Cheese shop on the way through for roadtrip snacks, but take the time to explore the Emporium a bit further along the highway for the most amazing collection of country gear.

Highfields this cafe and goodie store is the perfect place for a snack and to grab a road-trip coffee. Great views from the back deck.
This gorgeous lake is right beside the highway and is such a visual treat. I believe there's a cabin/camping option called Yallakool Park where you could take advantage of th excellent swimming/fishin
This is where you turn off the Burnett Hwy onto the Isis Hwy and there's a great roadhouse on the corner to stop and grab a cold drink, chat to locals and other travelers or have a comfort stop.
This gorgeous little town is full of historical buildings and real Aussies. You can check out the historical pharmacy and have a McCafe coffee or hit the local cafes.
This amazing beach is so unspoilt. There are great coffee shops and restaurants right on the waterfront and nearby Mon Repos where you can see baby turtles hatching in season. Enjoy the laid-back life!
