Starting at Diamond Beach and following the coast road to Forster/Tuncurry & the amazing bridge then following The Lakes Way thru rainforest and lakes to Buladelah-some of the most beautiful scenery

This resort was great. Separate little cabins that were fully self contained, right on the beach and had an amazing pool for the kids to swim in too - and so, so quiet.
Patrolled Beach (which is a must on the North Coast). Bush walks near by and a fabulous little cafe across the road.
This walk is a must. Pedestrian walkway on the side of the bridge makes this a beautiful walk between Forster & Tuncurry. You can see for miles and we were lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins go by
Fully patrolled, plenty of parking, fabulous cafe with gluten free options (big plus for us) plus the beach has it's own built in swimming pool too.
Hidden behind a tiny little patch of grass at the top of the hill is the most amazing walk through bushland - and out on the other side is an unobstructed view of the ocean plus a walk down to beach
Stop anywhere along here and you will find the sea and all it's harshness on one side, and then the tranquillity of the lake on the other side. Just breathtaking.
Another beautiful beach along the north coast. There are heaps of holiday places to stay around here - so pretty.
Again, like it's neighbour Boomerang Beach this is another fabulous spot along the coast. Even if you don't stay here the drive is worth it just to see the breathtaking scenery in the area.
The drive from Forster/Tuncurry to Bulladelah along The Lakes Way is an absolute must. There are times where the road is so close to the lakes you feel like you could touch the water from the car.
We ended our "trip" at Bulladelah before heading back to Sydney. A tiny little town now off the main freeway but still worth the stop. We had lunch at the Shiralee Cafe & the food & service was great
